Meet Nicola Thomas
“My first trip to India was in 2005. I was not that excited about going to India, nevertheless it was an opportunity to go somewhere new – but India ?? … My aunt and a trusted friend of mine said – we know you – you will love it.
And love it I did. Every moment, even the heat in August was not enough to put me off. Love it isn’t the right way to describe my experiences; People, colour, history, style, food, the hotels, the tigers, the palaces – all of it. There is no order to what I liked best because every day, every corner you turned was like a surprise for all your senses. No matter what you plan for, the experience you have seems to just be bigger and deeper and stronger than you expected. And then when you get home, it lives within you.
After that first wonderful trip I knew I had to go back, and then back again and again. Every time exploring a new corner of India, and realising it will take a lot of trips to really understand this country with 330 millions gods to praise and thank!
And as I kept returning my enthusiasm and real desire to share this country with my family and friends led me to take tours. And in turn I saw through other people’s eyes, their reaction to this Incredible India.
During this time, I have also made some wonderful friends in India. The colleagues I work with to create these tours, I call great friends. Professional, funny, kind and incredibly knowledgeable. I know their involvement has enhanced and ensured my love of India keeps growing.
And that is why I created Accent on India, so I can give more people the opportunity to go to India in a safe environment, whilst experiencing as much as we can see. Through my expertise and passion I can ensure an authentic Indian experience.”
